I didn’t have to to look far for my tree.
My front garden is the home of a beautiful Silver Birch.
Really is two trees, but planted cosily close.
Each new season shows another costume.
Leaves grow, change colour and fall.
The birdlife visits daily.
Spiders spin their webs.
Insects abound.
An occasional possum.
Previous years have seen the Silver Birch take part in Christmas fundraising, but this ceased in 2007.
This photo was taken in 2006. Pine tree with star, also a haven for the birds succumbed to the prolonged drought in 2007
I am looking forward to capturing (with the camera of course) the birdlife and anything else that visits my tree.

I love birches and would love to see a possum on it :-)
ReplyDeletethanks for being part of the treeyear!
Oh, I'm looking forward to see the year around this one too.
ReplyDeleteI love birches!
I am hoping to get photos of my favourite birds sitting in the tree in the next few days when I get home
